Felipe Massa was fastest at Barcelona by 2.7 seconds, the Brazillian was on of many drivers testing slick tyres. Ferrari were also testing a new nose section which has 2 slots cut into the top surface to aid downforce.
Honda's Alex Wurz was seconds, with McLaren's tester Pedro De La Rosa 3rd, testing 2009 aerodynamics. Nick Heidfeld was fourth for BMW on 2008 tyres.
Later in the test, Michael Schumacher will once again take to the track for Ferrari.
